Joseph Burclaff, PhD (2014-2019) Joseph was a PhD student in the Developmental, Regenerative, and Stem Cell Biology Program. He is currently completing a Post Doctoral Fellowship at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill with Dr. Scott Magness.
Mark Lewis, PhD (2014-2019) Mark was a PhD student in the Molecular Cell Biology Program. He is currently completing a fellowship at BioGenerator.
Luciana Osaki, PhD (2014-2017) Luciana was a visiting scientist from Brazil and is returning to the University of Sao Paulo.
Hei Yong “Grant” Lo, BS (2014-2017) Grant was a Post-bac/Research Technician and is currently pursuing an MD/PhD program at the University of Colorado, Denver.
Gregory Sibbel, BS (2012-2013) Greg was a PhD student in the Developmental, Regenerative and Stem Cell Biology Program. He died from Ewing’s sarcoma and is fondly remembered.
Benjamin Moore, PhD (2010-2015) Ben received his PhD in Molecular Cell Biology. After graduating from the Lab, Ben began a Research Fellowship at Harvard University and is currently a Scientist at Aquinnah Pharmaceuticals in Boston, MA.
Dengqun Liu, PhD (2013-2015) Dengqun was a visiting scientist from China and has started his own research laboratory at Third Military Medical University, People’s Republic of China.
Chang Mo Moon, MD (2011-2013) Chang Mo was a visiting scientist and is now an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology at the Kwandong University College of Medicine, Republic of Korea.
Shradha Khurana, PhD (2009-2013) Shradha received her PhD in Developmental, Regenerative and Stem Cell Biology. After graduating from the Mills Lab, Shradha began a Postdoctoral position at Columbia University Medical Center studying Oncology & Stem Cell Biology.
Ben Capoccia, PhD (2008-2013) Ben was a Postdoctoral researcher in the lab. He became an Instructor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Washington University in St. Louis and a Director of Research at Vasculox, Inc. Ben is currently Associate Director of Research at Arch Oncology in St. Louis, MO.
Jessica Geahlen, PhD (2008-2012) Jessica received her PhD in Developmental, Regenerative and Stem Cell Biology and went into industry research and biotechnology. She was a Project Architect at PreScout, Inc and is currently a Project Marketing Manager at Genewiz.
Jochen Lennerz, MD, PhD (2007-2009) Jochen received Postdoctoral training while in the Mills Lab and is currently an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Harvard University and Associate Director for the Center of Integrated Diagnostics at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Xiaolin Tian, PhD (2007-2008) Xiaolin was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mills Lab. She is now an Assistant Professor of Research at Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
Won Jae Huh, MD, PhD (2006-2010) Won Jae completed the MSTP program at Washington University School of Medicine and is now a GI Pathology Fellow at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
Runhua Hou, MD (2006-2008) Runhua was an Endocrinology fellow in the Mills Lab and is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester School of Medicine.
Andrew Bredemeyer, PhD (2006-2008) Andrew received Postdoctoral training in the Mills Lab. Andrew was the Director of Business Operations in the Division of Lab Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. He is currently the Vice President of Product at PierianDx in St. Louis, MO.
Debarati Battacharya (2005) Post-baccalaureate technician who went on to graduate school at SUNY Albany.
Jason M. Doherty (2004-2007) Post-baccalaureate technician who went on to graduate school at Washington University.
Victoria G. Weiss nee Ramsey (2004-2006) Post-baccalaureate technician who went on to graduate school at Vanderbilt University.
Xiaoou Pan (2003-2005) Post-baccalaureate technician who went on to graduate school at Johns Hopkins University. Xiaoou is currently a Clinical Trial Project Coordinator and Cardiology Research Coordinator at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach.
Chris C.-Y. Chen (2002-2005) Post-baccalaureate technician who went to pursue medicine at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine after his time in the Mills Lab.
Chieu V. Hong (2001-2003) Post-baccalaureate technician who went on to medical school at Washington University School of Medicine after training in the lab.
Edward Oates, PhD Ed was a staff scientist in the Mills Lab and worked on generating antibodies to specific, novel gastric cell proteins and creating constructs to label these proteins in mice. Edward recently worked the Milan Chheda, MD (Washington University in St. Louis – School of Medicine) on genes that are important in Glioblastoma multiforme brain cancers and managed the laboratory.
